Attorney General: We will not allow anyone to undermine Hajj's security

Saudi Arabia"s Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al-Mujeb has confirmed that the Public Prosecution will play a crucial role in the Hajj season by ensuring rights and swift justice in any criminal cases that may arise. In his media statements, Al-Mujeb emphasized, "We will not allow anyone to undermine the security of Hajj or deviate from the pilgrimage rituals in any form. Hajj is a fundamental duty of Islam, and pilgrims must respect this. We will safeguard the rights of pilgrims and monitor service providers closely. The Public Prosecution will act firmly against anyone attempting to harm, undermine, or neglect the provision of services to pilgrims." He added: "We pray for the safety and security of the pilgrims at the Holy Mosque," urging compliance with Hajj regulations, as all systems will be fully enforced in collaboration with relevant authorities, and no pilgrim will be allowed without a permit. The Attorney General inspected the Public Prosecution offices in the holy sites, reviewing all preparations and readiness for this Hajj season. He examined the workflow, services provided to the pilgrims, and the efficiency of the procedures carried out by highly qualified judicial personnel, supported by well-structured and practical institutional plans. Al-Mujeb inaugurated several new Public Prosecution buildings at the holy sites, emphasizing the collective efforts to achieve swift justice and diligent work to implement the wise directives of the leadership to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims, ensuring their safe return to their families. It is noteworthy that the Attorney General had previously launched the "Turjuman" device, the first national release utilizing artificial intelligence technology for real-time translation of defendants" statements with a linguistic error rate of zero percent. This device will be used for the first time during this year"s Hajj.
