These conjoined twins underwent surgical separation under the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program. The ministry has made extensive preparations and arrangements, forming various committees to ensure the families’ utmost comfort and support during their Hajj journey. King Salman ordered the hosting of 3322 pilgrims from 88 countries for this year’s Hajj. These included 22 pilgrims from the families of conjoined twins who were separated in the Kingdom. The pilgrims also included 2000 Palestinian pilgrims from families of martyrs, prisoners and wounded Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and other occupied territories. The hosting is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. The families of the twins expressed their heartfelt gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous acts of kindness that reflected in meeting the expenses of their surgical separation and giving them the best ever healthcare facilities and services. The Saudi conjoined twins program, established in 1990, stands as a beacon of hope for families worldwide. This landmark surgery not only showcases the Kingdom"s advanced medical capabilities but also underscores its commitment to humanitarian aid and medical excellence on a global scale.
