Early Wednesday morning, a Ministry of Health convoy, equipped with 24 ambulances, departed to transport 17 hospitalized pilgrims from various nationalities from Madinah hospitals to holy sites. These pilgrims will continue their prearranged treatment plans while performing their Hajj rituals. The convoy was organized under the supervision of Madinah"s General Directorate of Health Affairs and involved multiple health sectors. A total of 24 ambulances were prepared, complete with medical equipment, and staffed by a specialized medical team of 106 professionals, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics. Additionally, six ambulances were stationed along Al-Hijrah Road between Madinah and Makkah, supported by maintenance and oxygen supply vehicles, as well as mobile workshops and rapid intervention vehicles. This year marked the first involvement of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the convoy preparation, alongside King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Madinah, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital of the National Guard, Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital, and various private-sector hospitals. A specialized supervisory medical team monitors and evaluates the health status of the transferred pilgrims throughout the journey to ensure their safety and well-being. Annually, the Ministry ensures the transfer of hospitalized pilgrims from Madinah to the holy sites, prioritizing their health and safety during Hajj. The transferred pilgrims and their chaperones expressed their gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their support in facilitating Hajj and providing comprehensive healthcare.
