Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman met on Wednesday in Riyadh with Jennifer Morgan, State Minister and Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, they discussed mutual interests in climate action, as well as explored prospects for cooperation in energy and clean technologies to strengthen bilateral relations and achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Kingdom"s efforts in renewable energy, clean energy technologies, clean hydrogen, energy efficiency, and emissions management were also reviewed, as part of Saudi Arabia"s initiatives to lead the energy transition through local and regional initiatives, including the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative.
