West Ham have signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United for a reported transfer fee of £15m. The 26-year-old defender, who made 190 appearances over five seasons for United after joining from Crystal Palace for £50m in 2019, has agreed a seven-year contract with the Hammers. “It’s an amazing feeling to be back in London and I’m excited for what’s coming,” he said. “I was born here and I know the ins and outs of London, which plays a big part in my life, so to be back playing in this city means a lot to me.” Wan-Bissaka, who had entered the final year of his contract at United, said: “I can’t wait to get on the pitch, get to know the players and push on from there. I see a team that is in it together, that will push each other to win and a group that has got each others’ backs through thick and thin.” The West Ham technical director, Tim Steidten, hailed a valuable signing given Wan-Bissaka’s Premier League experience dates back to his Palace debut in 2018. “He’s exactly the type of player we’re looking to attract to this club while in the prime years of his career,” Steidten said. “He’s an incredibly talented defender who we rate very highly and who is superb in one-on-one situations. “He’s versatile too, which is clearly another positive. He’s played over 170 Premier League games so he knows the division inside-out.” The England international Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, committing to the club until June 2033. “I’m delighted to sign this new deal,” the 22-year-old told Chelsea’s official website. “I achieved a lot in my first season here, and hopefully I can continue to experience great things at this club, both on a personal level and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea.” Palmer enjoyed a standout campaign last season, scoring 22 league goals and being named the Premier League’s young player of the year. The former Manchester City player was included in the England squad for Euro 2024, and scored an equaliser in the final defeat against Spain. The Wolves defender Hugo Bueno has joined Feyenoord on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old Spaniard made his Wolves debut in 2022 and played 48 times for them in all competitions. Feyenoord will be in the Champions League in the coming season after finishing second in the Eredivisie. Bueno’s deal with Wolves runs until 2028. Bournemouth have signed the Mexico defender Julián Araujo from Barcelona on a five-year contract. Born in California, the 23-year-old right-back started his career at LA Galaxy before moving to the Spanish giants in 2023. Araujo spent last season on loan at Las Palmas and has now become Bournemouth’s fifth summer signing.
