King Abdullah II of Jordan warned of the repercussions of the ongoing war on Gaza and the danger of Israeli attacks and aggression in the West Bank on the security and stability of the region. He made the remarks while receiving on Wednesday in Amman the delegation of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee responsible for international action to stop the war on Gaza. The delegation is headed by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan. King Abdullah discussed with the delegation the latest developments in the region. He underscored the need to intensify efforts to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and increase relief aid to the people of Gaza. The King emphasized the importance of the committee"s role in highlighting the positions of Arab and Islamic countries to the international community, pushing for international action to stop the war on Gaza, and working to find a political horizon to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution. Crown Prince of Jordan Al-Hussein bin Abdullah was also present in the meeting. The members of the ministerial committee also included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan Ayman Safadi; Prime Minister of Palestine and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Mustafa; Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani; Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Egypt Ambassador Nabil Habash; Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Brahim Taha.
