Donald Trump’s playlist for his rallies is a bizarre mix, but his choice of Rufus Wainwright’s version of Hallejujah was inspired (Trump dances for 40 minutes during campaign rally: ‘Let’s listen to music’, 15 October). The song featured on the soundtrack of Shrek, which was all about an embittered ogre with very distinctive brightly coloured skin. Mike Pender Cardiff Joy Mead criticises Labour’s target of halving violence against women in a decade, saying that the target should be to eliminate all violence against women (Letters, 15 October). While we are in the realm of wishful thinking, can I take the further step of calling for the elimination of violence against anyone? About seven out of 10 homicide victims in England and Wales are men.
