A passenger was taken into custody on Sunday after allegedly attempting to divert a Mexican domestic flight to the US, according to the Volaris airline and Mexican authorities. After departing from El Bajio en route to Tijuana, the passenger tried to forcibly redirect the aircraft, prompting an emergency landing at Guadalajara Airport, where he was detained, the airline said in a news release.
