A six-year-old girl was hit in the face by a bottle thrown at Everton supporters from the Leicester section at Goodison Park on Saturday. Merseyside police and Leicestershire police have issued an appeal for information and are working with both clubs to identify the culprit, who threw the bottle at the end of Leicester’s 4-0 defeat. The girl was uninjured but distressed by the incident. It is believed the object was thrown from the Lower Bullens end of the away section. Leicester have lost eight of their past nine Premier League games, winning the other at Tottenham, and are third-bottom, two points below Wolves.
