نشرت صحيفة «مترو» البريطانية، عدد من الصور لشلال مياه مضئ، ووصفته الصحيفة بـ«الغريب والظاهرة الفريدة من نوعها»، وأشارت إلى أن الشلال يقع في منتزه يوسيميتي الوطني بولاية كاليفورنيا الأمريكية، كما أوضحت الصحيفة أن الأشخاص حينما يشاهدونه للوهلة الأولى من الممكن أن يعتقدوا بأنه عبارة عن حمم بركانية متساقطة. وأضافت الصحيفة أن ضوء تلك المياه يظهر جليًا ليلًا بعدما تبدأ الشمس بالرحيل، لكن تلك المياه لا يظهر ضوئها وإشراقها بقوة في فصل الشتاء وبداية فصل الربيع، ولفتت إلى أن الأشخاص الذين يتوجهون إلى المنتزه ويرون تلك الظاهرة الغريبة وضوء المياه محظوظين، حيث يشاهدون عدة ألوان منطلقة منها، وهي الذهبي والأحمر والبرتقالي، وتتوهج المياه لعدة أسابيع بشهر فبراير. In fact, I just drove back home after seeing this unforgettable moment. This is the Horse tail waterfall in the Yosemite National Park. Every year for a few days in February, the sun sets at a certain angle and illuminates the waterfall in luminescent orange and red, making it look like a molten lava.
