نشر موقع «العربية نت» مقطع فيديو يظهر فيه ثعبان يلتهم قط منزلي بولاية كوينزلاند الأسترالية، ويتضح فيه كذلك كيف يستطيع التنفس وهو يلتهم ضحيته الضخمة رغم صغر حجمه. وأظهر المقطع، المصوّر في يوم 8 من الشهر الجاري، القصبة الهوائية للثعبان وهي تتمدد وتعمل على جانبي فمه أثناء انهماكه في ابتلاع فريسته. وحسب المنشور يتميز فم الثعبان بكتلة عضلية تتيح له التمدد وابتلاع الفرائس الضخمة بأكملها.A Carpet Python’s Dinner Occurred: March 8, 2017 / South East Queensland, Australia Info from Licensor: “A 2-meter Coastal Carpet Python swallowing a cat.
