Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir stressed on Sunday that the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council holding its first session successfully is considered an important and historic step to enhance relations between the Kingdom and Iraq in various fields. The body’s establishment was co-signed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and in the presence of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Jubeir added that the US Secretary of State met with King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during which they discussed a number of important issues pertaining to the Middle Easts peace process in addition to Syria, Yemen, as well as Iranian threat to the region. Jubeir’s speech was delivered at a press conference held with US counterpart Tillerson at King Salman Airbase in Riyadh on Sunday.
