Saudi Chief of Staff General Abdul Rahman al-Bunyan confirmed that Saudi-led coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen is determined to establish the legitimate government all over the territories and support it to secure naval passages and regional environment in the area. He pointed out that coalitions leadership will continue to support Yemens legitimacy and stop Houthis in Yemen, and end the Iranian expansion in the region. He explained that the coalition wants to protect naval navigation in the Red Sea and Mandeb Strait. Speaking at the sidelines of a meeting in Riyadh of foreign ministers and military officials from the Saudi-led coalition involved in Yemen, including Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE, Bunyan said that the military intervention in Yemen coincided with the UN Resolution 2216 which obliges the Houthi militias to stop all their violent activity and retreat all their troops. He added that the resolution also asks Houthis to stop recruiting the children to be used in military operations which is a violations of humanitarian international laws. Bunyan discussed Houthis threats and the continuous attacks on Saudi Arabia whether through ballistic missiles or targeting the civilian facilities in the south of the Kingdom. The General asserted that all Houthi aggression are done with the blessing of Iran and its unconditional support and financing. "Countries in the coalition exert huge efforts to offer humanitarian support and transparently deal with all governmental and non-governmental organizations, and UN institutions to enable it of executing its noble duties within Yemen," Bunyan announced. Due to the efforts of the coalition and other international organizations, Yemeni government regained control over 85 percent of the country, according to Bunyan who added that the government is practicing its duties and serving the Yemeni people.
