Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Jadaan hailed on Sunday Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s royal decrees to form a higher anti-corruption committee. Chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the council will help preserve the rule of law, he stressed. The committee will also activate anti-corruption systems that the government is implementing, he continued. It will ensure the rights of the state and prevent the abuse of public funds. This will therefore bolster the national sustainable development program and protect reforms, stated Jadaan. Furthermore, the anti-corruption committee will underscore accountability and justice in the Kingdom, he explained. The firm anti-corruption decrees will maintain the investment environment in Saudi Arabia and bolster trust throughout the country. The decrees stem from the need to achieve justice and equality and protect the rights of individuals and public funds, he said. This will in turn bolster trust in the trade and investment sectors in Saudi Arabia and create fair competition between investors and develop it according to advanced international standards. Through these decrees, the Saudi government is paving the way for a new phase and approach that will be marked by transparency and accountability, Jadaan added. The state will not overlook any violations of local and international trade standards and it will ensure that transparency prevails in order to ensure that the pledges of Vision 2030 are achieved, he stressed.
