Saudi King Swears In New Ministers

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Monday swore in the new Minister of National Guard and Minister of Economy and Planning. The official Saudi Press Agency released images of the king swearing in Minister of National Guard Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin and Economy and Planning Minister Mohammed bin Mazyed Altwaijri at al-Yamamah Palace. The ministers said: "I swear by Allah Almighty to be loyal to my religion, King and country, not to divulge a secret of the States secrets, to maintain its interests and regulations, and perform my works with honesty, sincerity, and integrity." The King wished them all success in their new posts. Also Monday, King Salman received at Al-Yamamah Palace the credentials of a number of ambassadors of sisterly and friendly countries accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, SPA said. They included Ambassador of the Republic of Malta Raymond Sarsero; Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius Mohamed Iqbal Latuna; Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Khan Hisham bin Siddiq; Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Dr. Mahindara Singh Rajput; Ambassador of Republic of Panama "Non-resident" Eduardo Fonseca; Ambassador of the Republic of Benin Fadhloua Mutanro; Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana Taher Bimbali Damba; Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ali Hassan Al-Kayed; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Oyvend Stoke; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Oul Moosbi; Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Hammadi Ould Amemo; Ambassador of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan. The King welcomed the Ambassadors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing his greetings to their countries leaders, wishing them all success to enhance relations between the Kingdom and their countries, SPA said. For their part, the diplomats conveyed the greetings of their leaders to the King, expressing their gratitude for receiving them, and stressed their keenness to strengthen relations between their countries and the Kingdom in various fields, the agency said. The ceremony was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Minister of State and Cabinets Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and a number of officials.
