Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shokri at al-Yamamah Palace where they reviewed Saudi-Egyptian cooperation in a number of fields. They also discussed the latest developments in the region and ways of coordinating efforts in order to achieve security and stability in the region, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) The meeting was attended by Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmad al-Jubeir, and Egyptian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Nasser Hamdi. Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement that both the Crown Prince and Shoukry reiterated that the stability of Egypt and Saudi Arabia is the "valve of security" for the whole Arab region, adding that any damage to one of the two countries would damage the other. The two officials also discussed Irans policies in the region as Shoukry confirmed Egypts total rejection of foreign interference in the region that could lead to destabilizing Arab states. Later, Jubeir met with the Egyptian FM where they reviewed bilateral relations, issues of common interest, and the two countries partnership in the war on extremism and terrorism. The Crown Prince also met with Co-Chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, William Gates. The meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation between the two sides in various fields, in addition to reviewing a number of joint bilateral development programs and projects, stated SPA. They also discussed the opportunities in the Kingdom based on Vision 2030, especially investment opportunities in "NEOM", "The Red Sea" and "al-Ula". The meeting was attended by Minister of Trade and Investment Majid al-Qasabi, Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet Ahmed Al-Khateeb, and Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet Yasser al-Rumayan. Later, Prince Mohammed received Chairman and Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin Marleen Huston, and discussed bilateral partnership, especially in military industries, in addition to developing bilateral relations, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
