Saudi Crown Prince Grants Charities 12 Billion Riyals from his Personal Account

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, granted 12 billion riyals from his personal account to charities in the southern region, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday. It said that this initiative is part of efforts to support charity organizations that are part of a program he launched to back such organizations throughout the Kingdom. The latest grant covers the regions of Asir, al-Baha, Jazan and Najran and ten organizations operating there, said SPA. Some 10,166 beneficiaries are located in these regions. The grant will be distributed to support orphans (67 percent), needy families (15 percent), widows and divorced women (7 percent), healthcare (4 percent), special needs patients (3 percent), newlyweds (3 percent) and cancer patients (1 percent).
