Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Saturday that the visit of an Iraqi militia official to the Lebanese-Israeli border is a violation of Lebanese law.  The video of the official “touring southern border villages in a military uniform has been circulating on social media,” Hariri’s press office said in a statement. “It turned out that the video was filmed six days ago, and constitutes a violation of Lebanese law,” it said. “Hariri contacted the concerned military and security officials to conduct the necessary investigations and take measures to prevent any person from carrying out military activities on Lebanese territories, to thwart such illegal acts ... and to prevent the person in the video from entering Lebanon,” the statement added. Qais al-Khazaali of the Iranian-backed League of the Righteous appeared in military uniform in the video while touring the border with Israel along with members of Lebanons “Hezbollah.” The video was aired on Thursday night.
