King Salman Discusses Latest Regional Developments with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh on Wednesday Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense. At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, wishing the Kingdom steady progress and prosperity. In turn, the King sent his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, wishing him continuous health and the leadership and people of the UAE steady progress and prosperity. The two leaders discussed latest regional developments and various bilateral, regional and international efforts towards them. They focused on the Palestinian territories in wake of the United States’ recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. They underscored efforts to protect the historic and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and reaching a fair and durable solution to the Palestinian cause, according to the relevant international resolutions and the 2002 Arab peace initiative. King Salman and Sheikh Khalifa also discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts to defeat the Houthi Iranian militias, as well as the aggressive and terrorist armed organizations that threaten the Yemeni people and regional and international security and stability. The meeting tackle fraternal ties binding Saudi Arabia and the UAE and opportunities to improve them in all fields. The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, and Member of the Cabinet, and Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance. On the UAE side, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al-Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE ambassador to the Kingdom; Ahmed Al-Mazrooe, Secretary General for the Executive Council; and Khaldoon Al-Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Apparatus. Sheikh Khalifa was welcomed upon his arrival in the Kingdom by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
