The coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen announced on Wednesday that the Saudi air defense forces succeeded on Tuesday in intercepting a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi militias. Spokesman for the Arab coalition Turki al-Maliki said that so far, the Iranian-backed Houthis, have fired 83 ballistic missiles against the Kingdom. He stressed that no one was injured in Tuesday’s strike. He deemed however that the ongoing launch of ballistic missiles against the Kingdom is a “dangerous escalation” by the militias. The Houthis have become a threat to Saudi Arabia and the world, Maliki stressed. The spokesman welcomed statements of condemnation issued by the international community against Iran’s support of the Houthis. He revealed that the Houthis have lost 11,326 members during the past three months of battles in Yemen.
