The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen revealed a new mechanism by the UN to intensify inspection and checking at the Yemeni ports and to ensure that no arms are smuggled from the Iranian regime or any other source to the Houthi militias. Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said that the joint forces, after Nov.4, conducted a comprehensive revision and held a meeting with the UN experts in Riyadh in which gaps were determined in previous mechanism and a new one was put. “We met with UN experts in Riyadh and we determined the gaps of the previous mechanism and we put a new one with the UN to ensure that no arms are smuggled from the Iranian regime or any other source to the Houthi militias,” said Maliki. He urged not to front run events and prejudge the outcomes and propositions of Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Yemen, regarding Hodeida Port -- the coalition will continue the rescue processes and the delivery of required materials to the Yemeni people. “The purpose is clear and doesn’t depend on launching a comprehensive operation. There is a terrorist group using irregular terrorist members, and there is a progress on all the fronts in the Yemen interior… I don’t think the solution will be through a comprehensive operation but there are plans being implemented. There is a huge progress in military operations especially during the past two weeks,” he added. Coalition spokesman considered that the real facet of Iranian Houthi militia has now been disclosed infront of the international community, especially after the murders and detentions committed in Sana’a during the past period. The international community is urged to incriminate the armed group, and the Yemeni people are expected to stick to the revolution against Houthi militias, according to Maliki.
