Member of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives for Sabha city Musbah Doma said that security forces have found International Organization for Migration (IOM) staffer Rania Kharma, who has been abducted since Friday. Doma was quoted as saying on Tuesday that Kharma was well and in good health conditions. Head of the Investigation Bureau of Sabha Yehya Shuwail confirmed Kharma’s release and said she was found on a farm in one of the northern suburbs of Sabha. Omar Abdulrahman Mohammed, commander of the security chamber in Sakra, said that the chamber received a call on the kidnap of three people, including two men and a woman. It was later found out that they were two Libyan men and a Spanish woman of Palestinian origin, who works as a delegate of the IOM in Sabha, he said, pointing out that precautionary measures have been taken and the search for the kidnapped was ongoing. Sabha security directorate found on Saturday the Libyan IOM staffer Fayez Khirallah near Sabha city and then found the driver who was with the two IOM staffers on Sunday. On the other hand, a military source said that “six soldiers were killed in the southeastern oasis of Jaghboub in clashes between the 106 and 501 brigades belonging to the Libyan National Army (LNA) units and the Sudanese opposing forces of Justice and Equality Movement.” The six bodies were found rotting in the desert and the other LNA fighter is missing, presumed abducted, according to the source, who added that the clashes are taking place near the Libyan-Egyptian borders. In November 2017, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced that four foreigners were abducted, including three Turks. The security services in the country have not been able to find them yet despite that the Presidential Council of the Government of National Reconciliation has pledged to locate them and bring their captors to justice.
