AMMAN: Ahmad Al-Zabin, a 27-year-old Jordanian, has set the finest example of loyalty toward his Saudi friend, Osama Al-Shaya, 33, by donating one of his kidneys to him, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. This benevolent gesture reflects the brotherly ties between Jordanian and Saudi people. When Ahmad learned that Osama suffered from kidney failure and needed a transplant, he went to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh to undergo necessary tests and check if he could be a potential donor, the official spokesman of the Saudi Embassy in Jordan, Abdulsalam bin Abdullah Al-Enezi, explained. “The tests’ results were positive, and Ahmad did not hesitate to donate his kidney,” he added. “By doing so, he set a great example of brotherly loyalty.” In a statement carried by the SPA, Al-Enezi confirmed that “the surgery was performed last Tuesday at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. The donor has left the hospital and is in good health while Osama Al-Shaya continues to receive treatment at the hospital and will be sent home as soon as he completes his treatment.”
