The Arab Coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen announced on Monday that humanitarian operations are ongoing in the war-torn country. Spokesman for the alliance Turki al-Maliki announced during a press conference that the operations encompass all sides and are underway without discriminating against anyone. He revealed that Yemen’s portals will remain open to allow the entry of humanitarian aid, adding: “We have granted more than 18,000 permits to allow aid into the country.” A total of 43 permits were granted to allow aid to pass through Sanaa airport, said the spokesman from Riyadh. In addition, Maliki said that the Arab Coalition called on all political and social communities in Aden for calm and to cooperate with the legitimate government. The battle should be focused against the militias, he stressed. Furthermore, he revealed that 27 children who were recruited by the militias by force have been handed over to the coalition. He also said that the militias are planting Iranian-made mines in areas where the alliance is rebuilding the infrastructure. He listed other violations committed by the Houthis, such as intercepting a booby-trapped boat that was launched from the insurgent-held Hodeidah Port. The Coalition also seized weapons that were smuggled to the Houthis, including SAM missiles.
