The Yemeni government called on Monday for an investigation to be launched in the clashes that erupted recently in the temporary capital Aden. It stressed the need to tackle the causes for the tension. The Yemeni cabinet continued to hold extraordinary meetings on Monday to address the latest military developments and acts of sabotage that targeted government buildings and affected public institutions. Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr underlined the need to address the reasons for the unrest and to prevent their reoccurrence. The cabinet said that life had returned to normal in Aden, which is an indication that citizens want peace, reject violence and are keen on stability.
