KSRelief Center Signs 12 Humanitarian Projects Contracts for Syrian People

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) signed on Tuesday 12 contracts to implement various humanitarian and relief projects for Syrian people in several Syrian cities. In a press statement distributed, Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of KSRelief Center Abdullah al-Rabeeah said that the 12 projects, worth $18,321,549 were signed under the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The projects aimed to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people, inside the most affected areas, such as Ghouta, Daraa, Homs and other areas. These are part of a series of aid projects carried out by KSRelief Center for Syrian people inside and outside their country. Rabeeah said that they target food security, healthcare and hospital operation, as well as community support in education, protection, agriculture, shelter and improved livelihoods. He indicated that they reflect the role of Saudi Arabia and its people in easing human suffering throughout the world. The projects will include the inauguration of community centers that provide psycho-social services and vocational rehabilitation for children and women in cooperation with Ihsan for Relief and Development. They will also rehabilitate and support public schools in cooperation with the Bunyan Charity Organization. In addition, the projects aim at restoring small business that were damaged during the Syrian war through the small grants program in cooperation with Bunyan. Add to that, the center will execute several projects with various foundations including: Syrian American Medical Society Foundation (SAMS), Syria Relief and Development, al-Ameen for Humanitarian Support and Building Foundation for Development (BFD).
