The Coalition Forces in Defense of the Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Wednesday that a Coalition fighter jet was targeted by surface-to-air missile launched from Saada airport. Spokesman for the Arab Coalition Turki al-Maliki said however that the jet managed to complete its mission and return to its base unharmed. The source of fire was dealt with, he added. Such air defense missiles are not part of the Yemeni capabilities, he went on to say. This is evidence of the Iranian regime’s continued smuggling of field capabilities to the terrorist Houthi militias in a blatant challenge to international agreements, including United Nations Security Council resolution 2216. He said that the possession of new air defense missiles at the hands of terror organizations is considered a serious development and a direct threat to the air navigation and relief and humanitarian missions in Yemen.
