Saif bin Salem al-Suwailem, Spokesman of the Saudi Ministry of Housing, stressed the ministry’s continued delivery of ready housing units for citizens benefiting from housing support in a number of projects in different regions of the Kingdom. In a tweet on his official Twitter account, Suwailem explained that deliveries are being carried out currently, adding pictures for citizens being handed the keys for their villas in the ministry’s projects. The Ministry of Housing announced earlier the continuation of handing over housing projects to beneficiaries in the provinces of Thadiq, Qunfudhah, Bish and al-Mabraz. Photos and videos documented handing over the keys of the units for the citizens, who expressed their gratitude to the ministry for providing them with decent housing and for its success in fulfilling its promise to provide these units as soon as possible. These units are part of a residential program that has recently announced the completion of 70 percent of the ready units, allocated to citizens in the first phase of the program. The delivery of the units coincided with the completion of the procedures of booking and inspection in a number of projects, which were launched during the current period in a number of cities, including Riyadh, Dammam, Khobar, al-Ahsa, al-Jawf, Yanbu, Araar, Dawadmi and al-Kharamah. They amounted to more than 9,000 housing units at prices ranging from 250 to 750 thousand riyals with spaces and various designs to meet the needs of citizens benefiting from the housing support. In early 2017, the Ministry of Housing launched the first phase of the “Sakani" program, during which more than 282 thousand housing and finance products were allocated. In addition, the ministry announced the launch of the second phase of the program for 2018, aiming at allocating 300 thousand housing units.
