The medical team of al-Balsam International Organization carried out 47 surgeries for Yemenis who came to Mukalla city in Hadramout Governorate. The team arrived in the city on Sunday and was received by Hadramout Governor Major General Faraj Salmin al-Bahsani and a number of officials from the Sauli-led Coalition. Since the arrival of the medical team and until Tuesday, it has examined the cases of patients coming from all Yemeni provinces and has carried out five open heart surgeries for Yemeni patients. The team also carried out 42 other surgeries, including 37 interventional heart catheterization surgeries and installation of support devices for Yemeni men and women, who came from different Yemeni cities. It aims to treat 300 cases for Yemenis, including about 10 open heart surgeries and approximately 100 interventional catheterization operations for different ages, in addition to the examination and treatment of patients in outpatient clinics in the Department of Cardiac Radiology at Nabd al-Hayat Center of the Charitable Foundation of Cardiology in the city of Mukalla and the training of local doctors to carry out similar surgeries. The organization has received an urgent response from the Arab Coalition Forces to support the legitimacy in Yemen, under the leadership of the Kingdom, and logistical support to facilitate its humanitarian mission in coordination with the Yemeni government to deal with urgent cases of Yemeni patients at the request of the Yemeni Ministry of Health and Nabd al-Hayat Center in Mukalla.
