Ayman Jarmash, field commander of Tahami popular resistance, revealed that there are huge military preparations by the national army forces at the western coast to conduct a wide-scope military operation, supported by the Arab Coalition. Jarmash stated to Asharq Al-Awsat that the forces are fully ready and awaiting the zero hour to advance towards Hodeida and defeat insurgent Houthi militias. This coincided with the escalation of battles in various fighting fronts in Western Taiz where the national army forces achieved a new progress, backed by the Arab Coalition. Further, two Houthi leaders were killed during the past two days in fronts of Hodeida and Al Bayda during fighting the national army. This coincided with a rise in the number of insurgents killed during battles with the national army and the popular resistance in several regions in Al Bayda province to more than 22 insurgents in addition to dozens wounded while four were arrested. A source from the popular resistance told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that insurgent commander known as, Taha Shahari, was killed along with a number of his companions in battles against the national army and Tahami resistance. In Al Bayda province, the national army reported the death of more than 25 insurgents in Wednesdays battles against the national army and the popular resistance. September Net reported that 12 members from insurgent militias were killed and four others were captured by the national army and the popular resistance in Al Fadha, east Al Bayda. Military sources revealed that the army advanced Wednesday in Kitaf wa Al Boqee District and seized a number of sites following an offensive conducted by the national army forces on insurgents sites. They added that the 84 Infantry Battalion liberated wide regions in Wadi Al Fora’a.
