Eight people were killed on Wednesday in a suicide bombing that targeted a tent filled with mourners in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, police and medical sources said. Thirty people were wounded in the attack that struck the region of Tarmiya, 25 km (15 miles) north of Baghdad. Medical sources at a local hospital had given an earlier toll of four dead. Security forces central command said the attack had "killed and wounded civilians" without providing figures. The police source said some members of the Popular Mobilization Forces that was influential in the fightback against ISIS in the past three years were among those killed. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. The group claimed responsibility for a deadly gun attack near Tarmiya two weeks ago. ISIS has lost most of the territory it seized in Iraq in 2014 but still carries out regular individual attacks.
