President of the Association, Dr. Zuhair Rahbini, praised the success of the conference, saying it comes in line with the efforts of Saudi government to support all that serves the citizen and supports social health efforts and increases awareness levels to confront genetic diseases. Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Genetic Research Committee, said the conference has come out with 12 recommendations related to many topics covered by the conference, which include genes, the human genome and the relationship of genes to other environmental factors. The conference is an opportunity for medical professionals and workers in the country to keep up-to-date with the most important developments, such as early screening for metabolic diseases in newborns, their clinical treatment and new medical treatments across the spectra of metabolic diseases.
