The Ministry of Labor and Social Development will launch inspection rounds to make sure employers comply with the guidelines RIYADH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development will implement an occupational safety and health (OSH) management system from July 1, in order to develop national regulations and motivate employers to create attractive, safe and healthy work environments. The ministry will also “launch inspection rounds to make sure employers comply with the guidelines,” spokesman Khaled Abalkhail said on Thursday, adding that violators will be fined according to the magnitude of the violation. He urged people to contact the ministry on its customer service number (19911) if they want to submit inquires or report OSH violations. On April 28, the ministry hosted a national forum on OSH management in Riyadh, coinciding with the annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
