458 Tons of Food, Medical Supplies in Sudan

A ship provided by King Salman Humanitarian Relief and Humanitarian Center (KSRelief) arrived at Port Sudan carrying 458 tons of food and medical aid based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. In accordance with the mechanisms of KSRelief in the implementation of such humanitarian initiatives, food baskets and shelter materials will be distributed in the Red Sea and North Kordofan states. In addition, the Center will distribute medical supplies to 40 health centers and 15 health units in all Sudanese states, with a total of 50,000 beneficiaries in all states. Meanwhile, President of Sudan Omar al-Basheer paid a visit to the Prophets mosque in the holy city of al-Madinah Al-Munawarah on Sunday and was received by Prince of Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. In addition, KSRelief concluded on Monday Ramadan Iftar meals project in Sudan. During the project, the center distributed 9500 food baskets and 40000 Ramadan breakfast meals for over 90,000 needy families at a cost of $500,000. In a statement, Chairman of the higher committee of Ramadan breakfast project in Sudan Abdullah al-Tihami said the project covered areas in south and north of Darfur state, South Kordofan, and the outskirts of Khartoum state.
