Updated 6 min 36 sec ago June 30, 2018 02:08 60 RIYADH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has announced that it will provide legal aid and other assistance to women living in care centers across the Kingdom under the “Waeya” initiative, the aim of which is to educate women and young people about their legal rights. The ministry announced that it had signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Faisal AlHajjlah Talaat Law Office to offer legal consultations to women in care centers, shelters and “hospitality houses,” and to provide legal education to the ministry’s staff. The Waeya initiative was launched with the aim of empowering Saudi women and young people, and educating them about their legal rights to enable effective assistance from within the community.
