The Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) said Saturday that the electricity tariff has witnessed a change in some sectors of the consumption, including housing, since the beginning of January. The authority issued a clarification in wake of complaints it had received. It said that it has verified the stability and operation of the Saudi Electricity Company’s billing system before and after the new tariffs were announced. ECRA emphasized that it prioritizes the regular inspection of its facilities, underlining its keenness on preserving the rights of the people. It welcomed any consumer complaints submitted through its website, official Twitter account or customer service center.
