Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, sent on Tuesday cables of condolences to Italian President Sergio Mattarella over the Genoa bridge collapse, reported the Saudi Press Agency. King Salman expressed his deepest condolences to the Italian leader and relatives of the victims on behalf of the people and government of Saudi Arabia. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery. Dozens of people were killed in Genoa on Tuesday when a 50-meter high section of a motorway bridge, including a tower that anchored several supports, crashed down with as many as 35 vehicles driving on it onto the roofs of warehouses and other buildings, plunging huge slabs of reinforced concrete into a riverbed.
