The Yemeni national army, backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition, seized on Thursday the Hiran and Aahem districts in the Hajjah province. It also captured the international road that connects Hajjah to Hodeidah. In the Saada region, the forces liberated from the Iran-backed Houthi militias a number of villages and areas overlooking the al-Malahith market in al-Dhaher, one of the biggest and most important markets in the region. A field commander, Abdulkarim al-Sadei said that the military freed the al-Majdaa village and Jabal al-Wasia in Dhaher. The army is preparing to storm the Malahith market to liberate it from the Houthis, he revealed. The capture of the market would be significant because it serves as the gateway to the Maran region, the Houthi stronghold. The army liberated several other regions in Saada, killing many Houthis in the fierce fighting.
