Governor of northern Hail region meets with parents and students as new schoolyear opens JEDDAH: Hail Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saad held an annual meeting with students and parents on Monday to mark the beginning of the new academic year in the Kingdom. The governor praised King Salman’s support for encouraging education programs and preparing the future generation of the country. The prince said that building an educated society is the responsibility of all citizens. He urged students to work hard to play a positive role in society. The prince commended the efforts of the Hail director general of education for his efforts to boost educational activities in the region. Discussing mechanisms to develop future performance, the governor reviewed a report on a plan, launched in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the region, to teach the English language to students during the recent summer vacation. Meanwhile, retail analysts and market leaders said that students and parents in Saudi Arabia are enjoying back-to-school shopping these days. Most hypermarkets, supermarkets, bookshops and stationery outlets have geared up to cater to the needs of students and parents. Supermarkets, as well as stationery outlets, have substantial stocks of school uniforms, books and other accessories for students.
