Saudi, British aviation authorities agree to strengthen cooperation

The memorandum also addressed the topics of privatization, revenue sharing and financing units project JEDDAH: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of the UK have signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday. The Saudi and British sides were respectively represented by Abdul Hakim bin Mohammed Al-Tamimi, chairman of the GACA, and Richard Moriarty, chairman of the UK Civil Aviation Authority. The MoU aims to train and build capacity in various sectors of civil aviation, safety, security and environmental protection in air transport. It also aims to be open to the latest technologies and best practices in various sectors of civil aviation, as well as to enhance mutual cooperation in the field of civil aviation. The memorandum also addressed the topics of privatization, revenue sharing and financing units project, as well as the establishment and development of civil aviation research centers. This MoU comes within the framework of cooperation between the two sides in the field of civil aviation and their wish to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two parties on the basis of mutual benefit and respect, in accordance with the laws, regulations and instructions in force in both countries.
