DUBAI: 1. “Un Rêve de Pierres,’ Diptych 1 (2016) French-Algerian artist Zineb Sedira works mainly in photography and video and this exhibition, according to a statement, “refers to the way some singular voices can trace paths through the blind alleys of history, at once building narrative and unraveling trauma and oblivion.” 2. “Sugar Silo” Diptych 1&2 (2013) Sedira’s work has been acquired by a number of prestigious galleries and museums including New York’s Guggenheim, Paris’s Center Pompidou, and the Tate in London. ‘Of Words and Stones’ is her first solo exhibition in Lebanon and will showcase a range of diverse work from the artist’s 20-year-long practice, including her photographic series of diptychs, shown here.
