RIYADH: King Salman received Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on Saturday at Al-Auja Palace in the Saudi town of Diriyah. They reviewed bilateral relations, and the latest regional and international developments. The meeting was attended by Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar, State Minister Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdul Aziz, and Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir. King Hamad thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous fraternal support for Bahrain. “On this occasion, which brings us together on one position and as if with the heart of one man, we express our categorical rejection of the systematic campaigns and slanderous media statements against Saudi Arabia,” King Hamad said, demanding an end to such campaigns. He expressed his “full confidence in the integrity and independence of the capable Saudi judiciary” to investigate the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The judiciary is known for its “fairness,” which emanates from Saudi policies, King Hamad said, reiterating his solidarity with the Kingdom.  Both countries are forward-looking and committed to the principles of coexistence and peace among the peoples of the world, he added.
