Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks on Thursday with Qatar’s Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassem Al Thani. Receiving him at his Tangiers residence in Morocco, the Saudi monarch stressed the depth of fraternal and historic ties between the peoples of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He underlined the Kingdom’s “constant keenness and interest” in the well-being of Hajj pilgrims, saying that all possible means have been made available to them. For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Thani expressed his gratitude to King Salman for allowing Qatari Hajj pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia through the Salwa border crossing. He also thanked him for permitting all Qataris seeking to perform the Hajj to enter the Kingdom without electronic visas. Furthermore, he praised King Salman’s order to transport all Qatari pilgrims from the King Fahd International Airport in al-Dammam and Ehsa International Airport to Jeddah, as well dispatching private Saudi Airlines jets to Doha International Airport to bring the pilgrims to Jeddah at his expense. He said that this demonstrates the strength of the fraternal bonds that unite the Saudi and Qatari people and the Saudi leadership and the Qatari ruling family.
