Yemeni Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yamani held talks in Riyadh on Monday with United Nations special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, reported the Saudi Press Agency. Talks focused on ways to revive the peace process in Yemen, as well as trust-building efforts between the warring parties. Griffiths is seeking to hold a new round of consultations before the end of November. Yamani reiterated the legitimate government’s support for the envoy’s efforts and plans to establish peace, security and stability in Yemen. The last round of consultations was held in Geneva in September. They failed after the Iran-backed Houthis did not attend the talks.
