The ministers praised the final communique issued at the end of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit held in Riyadh. The Cabinet also welcomed the restoration of Al-Turaif Historical District — a project that the king inaugurated in the presence of other GCC leaders this week. The ministers also discussed the importance of the establishment of the King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), which Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman inaugurated on Monday. SPARK is an energy megaproject that will position Saudi Arabia as a global energy, industrial and technology hub. Minister of Media Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad said the Cabinet approved a number of resolutions on various issues. It approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology and the Institute of Genetic Diseases of France to increase cooperation in the health sector. The Cabinet, Al-Awwad said, also approved an MoU to boost cooperation between Saudi Education Ministry and its Tunisian counterpart. Members of the board of directors of the National Center for E-learning were also approved, he added.
