KSrelief Distributes Aid in Yemen, US National Security Adviser Visits Maribs Artificial Limbs Center

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 22 tons and 200kg of food baskets to displaced people from Hodeida in Dhalie District within the project of distributing 15,000 food baskets to the displaced people from Hodeida benefiting 1800 people, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The distribution comes within the framework of humanitarian projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Center, for the Yemeni people, which have reached 301 projects. The center also distributed Monday the second batch of fertilizers, and pesticides to 50 wheat farmers working in the agricultural sector in Sayoun Directorate of Hadhramaut Governorate as part of its project to improve their livelihoods. Director of the Agriculture Office in Seiyun, Engineer Salem Khabah extended his thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Center for its contributions to the agricultural sector and supporting farmers so as to alleviate their suffering. It is noteworthy that the first batch of distributing wheat seeds included 100 farmers in the Directorates of Seiyun and Tarim. Maanwhile, United States National Security Advisor Frances Townsend has paid a visit to the artificial limbs center in Marib funded by KSrelief. She and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the production of the Center and the quality of materials, mechanism used and Centers support for human cadres, training and courses to rehabilitate amputees. According to SPA, it has also been explained the extent of indiscriminate impact of mines planted by Al-Houthi militias in increasing the number of cases that need to implant limbs.
