The Royal Commission for Al-Ula has extended the Winter Tantoura Festival for two weeks until February 23, to include two concerts by Kadim Al-Saher and Ilham Al-Madfai, and an evening dedicated to honor artist Abdul Karim Abdul Kader. The commission said this extension follows the remarkable success achieved by the different activities, programs, trips and events featured in the first edition of Winter Tantoura Festival since its debut on December 20, and the significant turnout from Saudi Arabia and abroad. The Royal Commission for Al-Ula said that Winter Tantoura has lured a great audience from around the world, and provided a unique opportunity for people interested in history and landscapes to visit Al-Ula province, considered one of the best preserved heritage sites in the world and home to many ancient civilizations. CEO of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Amr al-Madani said: "Winter Tantoura has achieved a significant success. Through many heritage, cultural, artistic and natural activities, inspired by Al-Ula’s heritage that dates back to thousands of years, the commission highlighted the importance of the region considered a historical forum in the northern Arabian Peninsula, and a hub for many ancient civilizations." The commission stated that many Arab artists will be performing at Al-Ula this weekend. Kadim Al-Saher and Ilham Al-Madfai will be on stage on February 15, and Majid Al-Muhandes and Rashed al-Majed will take part in a special evening dedicated to honor artist Abdul Karim Abdul Kader on February 22.
