Boeing signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company (DUSSUR), and Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) to promote and support the Saudi aviation industry under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. “We at Boeing are delighted with this strategic partnership that will support Saudi Arabia to become a pioneer in the production of aircraft aluminum metal,” said President of Boeing Saudi Arabia Ahmed Jazzar. “We can contribute to Saudi Arabias localization and economic growth goals through these local capabilities that are devoted to the sustainability of high-quality local manufacturing,” Jazzar added. The MoU will be part of supporting and developing the local aluminum industry. The company will work with Maaden to develop its production and entry into the market as one of the few aluminum suppliers for the world’s aircraft industry. By being introduced to the market, the Kingdom will become one of the leading aircraft manufacturers in the world. In addition to that, the MoU will help achieve the Kingdoms goals by reducing dependence on oil, focusing on non-oil industries, and relying on the private sector as one of the main economic drivers. The Kingdom has been undergoing technological transformation and focusing on innovation and local industries.
