JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia will next month host a major two-day gathering of world health leaders. The fourth Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety, to be held in Jeddah from March 2-3, is one of the most important international conferences of its kind and will be the first to be held in the region.Dr. Abdulelah Alhawsawi, chair of the organizing committee and director-general of the Saudi Patient Safety Center, thanked King Salman for agreeing to host the summit in the Kingdom and for his continued support for the country’s health services.The meeting’s delegates will focus on strategies to help the adoption of patient safety as a key element in achieving universal health coverage. The aim is to raise awareness and work out practical ways of applying the principals in countries with limited resources.
