JEDDAH: Shoppers have been getting a taste of America at a major Saudi festival showcasing US products. The US consul general in Jeddah, Ryan Gliha, along with Manuel Market’s CEO, Khaled Al-Darwish, and its chairman, Abdullah Al-Darwish, inaugurated the 2019 American Products Festival at the retailer’s Stars Avenue branch in Jeddah.  Manuel Market is a specialized outlet associated with luxury, high-quality goods designed for refined living and healthy lifestyles. It currently has branches in Jeddah and Jubail and will be opening another soon in Riyadh. The week-long event, which closed on Tuesday, included in-store promotions, a dedicated media and social networks communication campaign, and activities to promote US products available to buy at Manuel Supermarkets.  The festival puts the spotlight on a wide range of items directly sourced from companies in the US, including nuts, dairy products, fruit, beef and health foods which are shipped directly to Saudi Arabia. The sale of American products in the Kingdom continues to be strong with more than $32 billion being traded between the two countries in 2018, and further growth is expected this year.
